AMREZY Palette Tutorial from Youtube! :)

.... Okay okay, I fell for it *sigh* I fell for the hype - THE ANASTASIA BEVERLY HILLS AMREZY PALETTE HYPE!!!  (Yes, it was necessary to add those exclamation marks AND the capitalization on the title) But how could I not? It was in the hands of ALL my favorite Beauty Guru's and all up on their Instagram's, and all the eye make up tutorials were soon to be blowing up on my YouTube feed. Let alone I've always been the one to be in the hype (for makeup) Once, I waited outside my local Mac store for 2 hours before the opening time to get a limited edition item. Did I know what the name of the collection was? No. Did I care? Nope, not really. I was just there for the... yep, you guessed it the hype and the purchase of a lipstick that seemed pretty. lol Anyway, you get the idea of where i'm going with this.

     After a night of drinking and sadly still wearing the clothes I wore the night before (in a 'walk of shame' type of way, minus the booty call) I rushed to my nearest ULTA and minus all the stares that comes with the territory of  'THE WALK OF SHAME' I purchased my AMREZY palette. I quickly rushed home and opened the package - oh who am I kidding? I opened it in my car right then and there. :) I was slightly okay with the eyeshadows, they seemed like your everyday/normal colors in a palette kind of shadows and don't get me started on the packaging! The 3rd time I opened the package it sort of fell apart... I was quite disappointed with this. After days of saying I would return the item, laziness come over me and days turned into weeks and I never exchanged it. After a couple of days of playing with the colors,  I fell in love! I could not get over how beautiful the eyeshadows 'Caramel' and 'Morocco' complimented each other, and then to deepen up the look by applying 'Deep Plum' it looks amazing! Since this moment it has been my GO-TO palette for my summer look.

     So, playing with those three eyeshadows inspired me to create a Sexy Bedroom Eyes tutorial (which is down below) on my channel. The eyeshadows are easy to blend and work beautiully together and alone. Details on look will be listed down below :)

Summer Series #2 - Brown & Blue Eye Look

....So i've started this summer series to help me stay on track with all these fun looks I have, felt this was also a nice little intro to my channel! Anyways, I was inspired by Heidi Cupcake's instagram photo she posted a while back and thought I could recreate this look with softer eyeshadows - so I went for it!

Orange + Blue Summer Eye Look!

... I love looking at my palette's ( I have TOO many for my own good) and putting colors together that are 1. great color schemes together and 2. are wearable for a day out. Such a fun look out of my comfort zone BUT more than happy with the results! Slowly but surely getting to more intense looks. :)

A Few of My Favorite Things Too Faced Palette

It's horrible that after 6 months of purchasing this palette I'm BARELY getting into the darker colors of this palette. What can I say? I've been scared to dabble into those colors BUT now that it's summer and bright colors should be the trend i'm mixing with dark colors! Horrible! I've got it completely wrong! Anyway... below are some pictures that I took of the eye look and the camera picked up the beautiful hues of blue in this dark eyeshadow which made it look extremely blue. I can't deny it's not beautiful, it compliments my eye color but in person it seems more dark and less blue. 


Eyeshadows I used: 
 - Chocolate Milk & Woolen Mittens ( in the crease ) 
- Pure Glors ( in the outer corner and for the bottom under my eye) 
- Bluff (Lid color) 

I also applied all color in the bottom of my eye to make it a complete smokey eye! 
I used Velour Lashes in Girl Your Craaazy! 

Was supposed to apply bottom lashes but it just didn't work right, I should have applied singles under my lash line!

My First Cut Crease!

... Oh my lord! I'll admit that it is SUPER hard to cut a crease! But luckily, I found an easier way!

TADAAA! 

I have a very weird eye shape, it's like an almond shape mixed with a narrow shape. ( If that makes any sense) okay okay... it's just very narrow like asian eyes. So anyway.. it was very difficult to map out my crease without wanting to mix all of the colors together, but I went for it anyway. Looking back at the picture, I could have went a little lower on the line , lol. The trick that made it so easy is using an eyeliner whether it be in stick form or gel eyeliner in the color you want your cut crease to be. As you can see I went with a brown cut crease so I obviously used a brown eyeliner, I mapped out my crease and blended then went in with a champagne color to fill in the bottom!

Thank Peaches Its Friday!

Since I love fridays sooo much, I decided to get out of my comfort zone and wear this rose gold - orange eye look! I sat down this morning and decided to play with eyeshadows! I've been pushing myself to wear peaches for make up looks lately since i'm completely late on trend and it seems to compliment my skin tone. It's funny how I started noticing that peaches were just a "brightness enhancer" for my skin - it started with my mother. She has always been the woman that wears red lipstick with WHATEVER she wears! Now to read that you automatically think "umm.. but red lipstick doesn't go with everything what is this woman thinking?" and I completely understand because I would think the same thing too. But what no one knows is that this woman (my mother) puts thought into her outfit from the earrings she wears down to her heels (notice I said heels, because that's all she wears, nothing lower) so the red lipstick just went with everything and never looked out of place or "too much". It was never like an old t-shirt and torn up jeans with flip flops and then red lipstick. Anyway, she started wearing the matte peach lipstick from wet n wild and it just automatically complimented her skin tone and her beauty. So I went on a total Mean Girls moment ("One time I saw Cady Heron wear army pants and flip flops so I wore army pants and flip flops") and bought the same peach to try on myself and it was true, it instantly lifted my face and gave me this glow "it was awesome". So after my whole novel, moral of the story is that I should wear peaches more often. :)

How to make your eyes appear bigger!

My photography skills... are just horrible! When I try to take my pictures for my blog I can't seem to do a good detailed picture of the eyeshadows. Im sure its the lighting but I figured that it was the eyeshadows that are TOO light.
Well I will keep trying and getting better!

P.S. If anyone has any suggestions, please feel free to let me know!

FINALS WEEK!!

Okay so I haven't completely neglected my blog, i've just been busy with finals this week. I have successfully unsuccessfully unplugged myself from social media just to study, lol. I wanted to post a couple of looks here before I get back into studying again and disappear for the next two days. VELOUR LASHES REVIEW

OH MY GOSH!!
I recently bought these VELOUR LASHES in GIRL YOU CRAAZY (not sure if that's how crazy is spelled on the site) but they are amazing! I usually go for ARDELL lashes and I've yet to find some that are my favorite.... I have some whispies that I always run to but still didn't convince me that they fit my eye shape. Since I have very narrow eyes, I like to run to the eyelashes that are either fuller in the center to make my eyes appear bigger and doll-like or some that fuller in the end so that it gives the illusion that my eyes are exotic! Anyway, I finally caved into getting mink lashes and I have to say IM IN LOVE! Sadly, they are not as comfortable as I had wanted them to be. The band is no where near flexible as the band for ARDELL, but it makes complete sense, they're MINK lashes and they are fuller!
I decided to cut the extra band that was left on the sides to help with the level of comfort. I repeat, I did not cut the lashes themselves but the extra band that was left on the sides.
I could not buy 20-30 dollar lashes and then cut them - what would I be thinking?
These lashes just COMPLETE  a look! Heres a pic below:

 This was a screen shot from my video in my previous post which you can tell the difference when they are on compared to when they are not!!!

So I would deff recommend to anybody because they are supposed to be good up to 25 time of reuse, but I always take REALLY good care of my falsies so i'm sure that I will be able to use them longer.

Prom hair and make up for a yellow dress!

I recently got into my GLAM mode and decided what better time to get all dolled up then for a PROM tutorial, and here it is! 

I wore this dress for my prom in 2008 and figured why not just use this dress. 

I do have a long Black gown which i will have to do make up for as well!

Make-Up Ladies Night!

Hello Everyone! 

So the other night I was able to grab a couple of beautiful girlfriends and try new looks. Sadly, I don't go out - clubbing - anymore, I have become such a homebody since last year, which I knew growing up it would happen. Maybe it's just the fact that I see the SAME people and the SAME clubs so i've been kinda over it. Well this got pretty heavy for an intro, huh? lol sorry. 

I had recently bought the UTOPIA PIGMENT from Make Up Geek and I hadn't gone out to fully get glammed up to wear it SO I did the next best thing and tried it out for a make up look! 

Beautiful Model: Julissa 

I focused this pigment on the center of her eye and I used "blackout" eyeshadow from the Naked 2 palette on the inner and outer lid, applied "Purely Naked" and "Frappe" from Make up geek on the crease and in the lower lash line, applied blackest black eyeliner from the Maybelline Studio line and some demi whispie lashes from Ardell.

I must say that I am HORRIBLE at trying to take pictures like the Make Up Artists on Instagram! 

I used MAC "Rose" Pigment on the inner lid, used a dark purple shimmer shadow from my coastal scents palette and "blackout" from the naked 2 palette on the outer lid, I used "Simply Marlena" eyeshadow as the transition shade on the lid, she already had amazing eyelashes so the ardell whispies I applied weren't necessary but I added them anyway!

Okay, so after so many years of getting my nails done, I was definetely tired of having to go get a fill in about every two weeks! That's almost $20-$27 dollars every other week, literally like a bill payment somewhere, lol. Anywho, back to the subject - I just didn't wanna deal with it anymore. So about a few years I concocted a remedy that helped with growing your nails strong, BUT recently I was in the drugstore and found the best product ever - SALLY HANSEN GROWTH GEL and to top it all of it smells like cucumber! Well any who - I explain it ALL in the video below! :)
